On Finishing a Book: A Threshold Crossed
The Work in Progress
There’s a particular kind of focus that emerges near the end of a creative project — a tunnel of golden threads where time dissolves and everything else fades into the background. These past few weeks, I entered that tunnel.
I’ve just completed the final stages of my book — a deeply personal story of healing, remembrance, and spiritual awakening — and submitted it to Hay House for their writer’s community publishing opportunity. A year ago, this was just a whisper in the wind. Now, it’s a manuscript I’ve carried to the finish line.
The editing process, especially the final stretch, asked more of me than I anticipated. Not just in hours — though there were many late nights and early mornings — but in courage. Courage to refine the shape of something born in a different consciousness. Courage to re-enter old memories with new compassion. And above all, courage to be seen.
The Submission — and the Emotion
Pressing submit was strangely emotional.
In that moment, I wasn’t just sending a manuscript. I was releasing years of silent transformation. I was sending my story — a story of self-healing, spiritual reconnection, and multidimensional awareness — into the world. I was saying yes to being visible, yes to sharing tools that helped me heal body and soul, and discover all the unseen layers that unfolded from there. I was saying yes to others who might be walking through their own sacred threshold.
This book was born in the delicate space between physical exhaustion and spiritual clarity, especially after a soul-activating journey to Glastonbury while I was still recovering my health. That’s when I joined the Writer’s Course with Hay House. And now, it holds together as a full offering — an energetic map, a healing story, a mythic unfolding. It’s not the end, I am sure. But could be a beginning. Regardless if it is accepted or not, I feel happy for this moment, for holding the thread, for making it happen.
To include with the proposal, I also created some visual pieces — images made with AI, from prompts of the book and descriptions of my healing experiences, energetic landscapes, and dream-journeying moments. These moved me more than I expected as this path unfolded in subtle, invisible realms — the quantum, the emotional, the ancestral, the energy realms. These images felt like a translation of the unseen. A glimpse into the realms of sound, light, and vibration where much of my work - with myself and clients - takes place.
I called it the Healing Realms. They accompany the book proposal as visual prayers, symbols, and keys for imagination. They also planted a seed for future creations — opening the possibility of a book series and a film.
Thank you for witnessing this moment with me.
We are all healing something.
And sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is share the map we’ve drawn in the dark.
What Comes Next: A New Offering
As this book now finds its way into the universe, I’m also opening space to share healing tools more directly. I’ve been working with clients in one-on-one healing sessions over the past few years, and I’m currently thinking of creating a course on multidimensional self-healing — including self-care practices, energy work, and intuitive tools that supported my own healing.
If you’d like to put your name in my list to receive more information about the course or would like to join any of the One-to-one healing programs that I offer, you can visit my healing site here: www.cloudhealinghands.co.uk
With love,
